Senexet House

Welcome to Senexet House!

The perfect place for your next retreat, meeting or event.

In 1932, a group of Unitarian laypersons established the retreat on an estate deep in the New England countryside. Senexet House, built in 1886, was chosen because of its ideal location between Boston and New York. Its purpose is to encourage and enlarge the spiritual and religious life of the individuals and groups who come to it. The house is ideal for groups up to 30 persons. It welcomes all religious retreats, family gatherings, counseling groups, young people's organizations, meetings and conferences, workshops and gatherings of all kinds.  The house is handicapped accessible.

Senexet House is available overnight to groups of up to 30 people.  Delicious home-cooked meals can be provided or your group can choose to bring and prepare your own meals.  Weekend retreats typically include all meals from Friday supper through Sunday lunch.   On weekdays and evenings the House is also available for rent as a meeting space and/or for overnight retreats.

Senexet House is a 501(c)(3) non-profit.  Charitable contributions are gratefully accepted.

A lake is the landscape's most beautiful and expressive feature.
It is Earth's eye; looking into which the beholder measures
the depth of his own nature.
